RMS Beauty Reviews: What I’m Obsessed With Right Now
I’ll admit that there are a lot of RMS Beauty reviews already on the internet. Perhaps what will differentiate mine from the rest is that I am a longtime beauty editor who has tested about a million and one other clean beauty products on the market. Plus, I’ve met the founder, makeup artist Rose-Marie Swift before, and she is an absolute riot!
I’m super pumped to write these RMS Beauty reviews because I think this is a fantastic, clean beauty brand that has been around for a pretty damn long time. There are a bunch of wonderful RMS products that I’ve used over the years, and some products I’ve tried that I didn’t really care for.

My Honest RMS Beauty Reviews
These RMS Beauty reviews are going to help you decide which products are worth your hard-earned money, and which you can probably skip. I should warn you, however, that I do love most of the RMS Beauty products. So there aren’t going to be a ton of products that I don’t like.
What Is RMS Beauty?
RMS Beauty is truly one of the pioneers of the clean makeup movement. The brand was founded in 2009 by a woman named Rose-Marie Swift. Swift is a longtime makeup artist who wanted to create beautiful makeup products with cleaner, safer ingredients.
RMS Beauty comes from the founder’s name—Rose-Marie Swift. Whenever I am invited to any of the brand’s launch events here in NYC, or if Swift is doing a virtual meeting with a bunch of editors on Zoom, I try not to miss it. She absolutely cracks me up and she has such a zest for life (I mean, look at this video)! She’s also incredible at her craft and I love her less-is-more approach to makeup.
You better believe that these RMS Beauty reviews are going to include the one product that really put this brand on the map—the Luminizer. I’m pretty sure the Lumiziner, which is a cream highlighter, is what made this brand really well-known. I’ll be diving into my love of the Lumiziner in the RMS Beauty reviews below, as well as a bunch of other products from the brand that I like.
What Are The Best RMS Beauty Products?

RMS Beauty Luminizer
Available at RMS Beauty ($40)
This is the brand’s most iconic product. Especially the Luminizer in the shade “Living Lumiziner.” It is a beautiful, creamy, subtle highlighter shade that looks good on all shades, but especially those with light skin tones. I use “Living Lumiziner” all the time, and it’s without a doubt one of my favorite highlighters that I’ve ever tried. The formula includes ingredients like seed oil, beeswax, and mica. I love how incredibly natural it looks, and the formula blends into my skin really well. I typically like to use a brush to blend it onto my cheekbones and my brow bone. Sometimes I will use my fingers if I’m in a pinch.
I definitely prefer cream highlighters and blushes over powders because I think they look more natural and glowy on my skin. I notice that the Luminizer lasts throughout the day, and I don’t have to apply too much to get the effect that I want.

I also have the shade “Magic Luminizer.” This shade has a more champagne opalescence and is great for days when I create a more “warm-toned” makeup look, rather than a “cool-toned” look. I don’t use this shade as often as “Living Lumiziner,” but I still like to apply it every so often.

RMS Beauty ReDimension Hydra Powder Blush
Available at RMS Beauty ($36)
I know I mentioned previously that I’m not a big powder blush fan, but this pick is the exception. When I first tried this blush years ago, I was shocked by how beautiful it looked on my skin. I have the shade “Bermuda Rose” and I think the way that this product feels on the skin is so interesting. It’s a powder blush, but it feels kinda like a gel when you apply it.
What I love about this blush is that it’s basically a blush and highlighter in one. The formula creates the most beautiful glow on the skin, and also adds a nice flush of color at the same time. A little goes a long way when it comes to this blush, which means it will last you about 100 years.
RMS Beauty UnCoverup Concealer
Available at RMS Beauty ($40)
This is a beautiful, creamy concealer that glides nicely onto the skin. I oscillate between the shades 00 and 11. This is definitely not a full-coverage concealer, which I typically prefer. I love a light, buildable concealer that you can add multiple layers to, depending on your preference.
I love that this concealer offers a glowy-ish finish. It’s nowhere near being matte, and has a natural finish that looks like real skin. I oftentimes struggle with concealers that are matte or drying, as they end up caking into my acne and basically accentuating my pimples. You don’t need to worry about that with this concealer.
However, there is one thing you might need to worry about if you struggle with acne. I like to follow Sofie Pavitt’s Ingredients Checker for any pore-clogging ingredients. When I input UnCoverup Concealer’s ingredient list into the checker, it says that it contains beeswax, which can be cloggy. Personally, I haven’t had any issues with this concealer, but it’s just something to be aware of.

RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek
Available at RMS Beauty ($40)
I think the Lip2Cheek formulas are nice, but they aren’t life-changing to me. The Subtl Beauty Lip & Cheek formulas are more blendable, IMO. The colors are beautiful and I love the sustainable packaging, but I find these formulas to be a bit too difficult to blend in. The blending issue isn’t anything crazy, but I’ve certainly tried other cream blushes that are easier to blend in.
Because these are so pigmented, I think that one pot will last you a long time. The annoying thing about them being not super blendable can actually be a positive though, too. For a cream blush, this formula lasts on your cheeks a long ass time. So I like that they are long-lasting and won’t budge.

RMS Beauty Eyelights Cream Eyeshadow
Available at RMS Beauty ($29)
These are beautiful cream eyeshadows that are pretty easy to apply, too. They come in 11 shades and can be layered on top of each other if you want to go for a multi-color look. Because these are so pigmented, I’m pretty sure that one tube will last you approximately 30,000 years. No but for real, I think if you used this everyday, it would probably last about a year.
The finishes are beautiful, and I really love how these look on my lids. The brand claims that these are crease-proof, but I did not find that to be the case. Truthfully, I don’t think I’ve ever really found an eyeshadow that doesn’t crease on my lids by the end of the day. I almost always have to apply an eyeshadow primer beforehand, which I don’t think is a huge deal to be honest. The shades “Supernova” and “Strobe” are in my makeup kit and love them both!
I would definitely recommend these eyeshadows if you’re looking for a clean formula that you can use daily. I think the lighter shades, like “Moondust,” “Luster,” and “Sunbeam” would be lovely to add to your daily makeup routine.

RMS Beauty SuperNatural Radiance Serum Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen
Available at RMS Beauty ($49)
This is a pretty interesting formula. It’s a little bit thicker than a traditional serum, but is thinner than a standard foundation. It offers a gorgeous, luminous glow to the skin and also does a decent job of evening out the redness in my complexion.
I wouldn’t say that this could fully replace a foundation or anything of the sort. It’s more like a tinted sunscreen, where you might need to go in afterward and spot conceal any blemishes, redness, or discoloration you have that the serum wasn’t able to cover.

Personally, I prefer formulas like this over foundations, as I like a sheer amount of coverage on my face. Obviously, it’s not great that this product only comes in three shades. But I’ve found that the “Light Aura” shade matches my skin tone pretty well.
I love that it contains SPF and also contains niacinmaide, which has anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and skin-brightening properties, too. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who likes a light-tinted sunscreen. For most, however, you probably won’t be perfect match for any of the three shades. So you might have to purchase two and mix them together to create your perfect shade (which is annoying, I know).

RMS Beauty Legendary Serum Lipstick
Available at RMS Beauty ($36)
These are not my favorite lipsticks in the world, but they certainly aren’t my least favorite. The texture of these is kind of interesting—it’s a little bit of a satin feel and look, where it’s not shiny, but not matte, either.
This lipstick comes in eight shades, and the two shades that I have (Monica and Angela) are very pigmented and a little on the dark side. If you like a subtle lip color, I don’t think you will like any of these lipstick shades. A lot of reviewers have stated that the shades don’t look flattering on them. I think that the two shades I have are pretty flattering for my skin tone.
The reason I’m not totally in love with these is that I find them a little bit drying and not super moisturizing. Like most lipsticks that I wear, they don’t last a long time either.

Is RMS Beauty Good?
Yes, I think RMS Beauty is amazing. Some of their products are a bit of a miss, but most of the ones I have tried have been a huge hit, and are regulars in my makeup routine. I don’t think I could live without the Living Luminizer, and the ReDimension Hydra Powder Blush is just so stunning and so multi-use. I love this brand and I’m excited to see their upcoming product launches in the future.
