She was raving about it being the perfect pre-makeup moisturizer. Every time she applied it to her skin on camera, you could see how instantly glowy and dewy it left her skin.
I asked the brand to send me a sample to test out after I saw that. And I couldn’t believe how thick and dreamy this formula was the first time that I tried it. I loved it and knew I had to write about it at some point.

The Inn Beauty Extreme Cream is a thick, luxe, clinically-tested moisturizer that’s designed to firm, lift, and deeply hydrate the skin. What’s really interesting about this formula is that it features a unique reverse emulsion technology, where water droplets are suspended in oil, delivering a silky texture and an immediate glossy glow.

I’ve found that none of the active ingredients in this formula irritate my skin. And I haven’t broken out from it either.
Something weird that I notice, that I honestly can’t say about other moisturizers, is that my skin looks noticeably clearer when I use this consistently. I don’t know what it is about this formula that seems to really help my skin in terms of acne, redness, and sensitivity. Part of me thinks that maybe I’ve been drying out my skin too much. And then when I use this moisturizer, it’s like the healthy drink of water and hydration that my skin has been craving, and then it seems to calm down.
The moisturizer claims to be a firming one, and while I can’t say that I’ve noticed a huge difference in terms of the firmness of my skin, I can say that my skin looks BOMB after I use this. It looks healthy, dewy, calm, and honestly just beautiful. When it comes to anti-aging, I think that this formula does a great job of filling in fine lines and wrinkles and plumping skin to make your face appear more “youthful.”

Formula
There are about a million pros I could list for the Extreme Cream, but I would say that the overall hydrating formula is one of the best parts. It has incredibly moisturizing ingredients while also providing anti-aging benefits (like firming and lifting), too. It makes your skin looks insanely gorgeous and healthy, and offers this beautiful, long-lasting glow that doesn’t feel oily or greasy. And I can’t really say that about many other moisturizers I’ve tried (like the Vanicream moisturizer), to be honest!
Texture
The texture of this is thick, rich, and hydrating. It goes on very smoothly and feels lovely on the skin. The formula has a unique reverse emulsion texture, which is tiny water droplets suspended in oil droplets, making this hella hydrating. The texture is luxe, and just like the description on the site states, it feels “addictive” to apply this on my skin. Almost as if I want to apply it to my skin like 100 times in one day because it feels and looks so good.
Refillable
I love that brands are offering refillable options for a lot of their best-selling products. Because it not only helps save the planet, but it also costs a bit less, too. The tube I’m using right now is a refill, and it was pretty easy for me to figure out how to fill it back up in the glass bottle. Another thing to note is that the bottle is very beautiful, heavy, and luxe-feeling, which makes the experience of applying this moisturizer that much better.
Non-comedogenic
Like I’ve mentioned before, this product does not irritate my skin in the slightest. Which is a miracle considering it’s so hydrating and thick. According to Sofie Pavitt’s Ingredients Checker, which I use religiously to check that anything is acne-safe before I put it on my skin, the Extreme Cream does contain stearic acid, which is “known to clog pores.” I have had no issues with this moisturizer, so I can’t speak to it clogging my pores. If you know that stearic acid doesn’t bode well on your skin, you should probably avoid.
Fragrance-free
Another huge pro about this moisturizer is that it’s fragrance-free. I have the hardest time using skincare products that contain fragrance in them, and I honestly don’t understand why brands are still putting fragrance in their formulas.
Great makeup base
Kelli Anne taught me that this is a fabulous primer for your makeup, and she was not wrong. This offers a glow incomparable to other moisturizers on the market, and I think it’s a great base to apply before your foundation. That being said, if you prefer a more matte-looking foundation look, I don’t recommend applying this beforehand.

Thickness
One person’s pro could be another person’s con. Some folks hate thick moisturizers, and if that’s you, you might want to stay away. This is not a lightweight lotion, and isn’t any sort of gel-cream situation. Some people might find the thick formula off-putting. My skin, on the other hand, drinks that shit up.
Better for winter than summer
I’m curious to see how much I use this cream this summer. It’s pretty heavy and thick, so it might be a bit too heavy for my skin over the summer. That being said, sometimes I am a bad beauty editor and I don’t wear sunscreen. If my face gets burnt or starts to feel a little bit dehydrated or dry, I think this would be a good go-to to have to hydrate the skin while it heals.
Price
The price of the moisturizer, including the glass bottle, is $48. The price for only the refill is $40. Given how beautiful this formula is, and compared to other moisturizers at the same price point, I think this is a fair price. I also can see that this is a big investment for some. For what it’s worth, I haven’t tried a moisturizer from the drugstore that has a similar consistency to this formulation.
Is The INNBEAUTY Project Extreme Cream Worth It?
I went to Lake Como recently with my husband. It was our first stop on the way to a friend’s wedding in Italy. Before we got there, everyone had been saying how amazing Lake Como was. I didn’t want to get my hopes up because I didn’t want to be let down after everyone and their mother hyped it up. Well, it ended up being one of the top three most beautiful places I’ve ever been. In fact, I would venture to say that it is the slightest bit underrated, with how breathtakingly beautiful it is.
You’re probably asking yourself why the hell did I just take you on that journey about Lake Como? Well, my experience with Como is similar to how I felt after the first time I tried the INNBEAUTY Extreme Cream. I saw it hyped up all over social media, and even saw a bunch of campaign posters about it all over NYC. It was hyped up everywhere I looked, so I didn’t want to get my hopes up the first time I tried it. I was shocked by how lovely this formula was the first time I tried it. Which makes no sense, because so many people on social media recommended it. I think it is underrated and should be in everyone’s vanity, especially during the winter months.
So all that’s to say, yes, I think it is worth the money and I highly recommend.
